The World Ski Awards is one of the most important industry events on the ski tourism calendar. Established in 2013, the programme evolved in response to an increasing demand for a transparent and reputable system that could be used to benchmark performance; encouraging elevated standards of performance to support the growth of ski tourism.
How it all works
Following self-nomination, organisations are vetted and a shortlist of official nominees are elected in accordance to their area of speciality and geographic location. Following this, an all important 16 week voting period opens to the public as hundreds of thousands of ski industry professionals and consumers alike caste a vote for their favourite brand, product, chalet, resort, hotel, agent or tour operator. An industry vote holds a heavier weighting of 5 points, whilst each public vote counts as a 1 point. Winners are then appointed on a first-past-the-post system to ensure the neutrality and objectivity of the process and outcome.
This year, the 23rd World Ski Awards ceremony will be held on the weekend of 18-20th November at the A-ROSA Kitzbühel, overlooking the magnificent Hanhnenkamm. With the ‘Who’s Who’ of the ski industry in attendance, the inaugural unveiling of winners is an honorable accolade.
For the past three years Consensio has dominated the category of Best Ski Chalet France. Winning in 2013 & 2014 for the magnificent Chalet Marco Polo in Val d’Isère, and again in 2015 for Les Gets’ very special Grand Corniche.
This year, over half of our exclusive chalet collection is up for nomination with 9 chalets of the top 20 chalets in the running for Best Ski Chalet France. In addition, Consensio has also received a world nomination for best ski tour operator. Vindication in itself, a nomination is recognition of our tireless hard work in seeking new heights of service, luxury and comfort for our clients.
We would greatly appreciate your support, so please spare a moment to vote for favourite chalet from our nominees detailed below.
