The World Ski Awards were held at the Arosa Hotel in Kitzbuhel last weekend. The World Ski Awards is the only global initiative to recognise, reward and celebrate excellence in ski tourism. The great and good from all around the world representing 23 nations were present. Steve Ryder a well known sports presenter, did a terrific job of presenting all the awards throughout the evening.
Consensio had six entrants in one of the most highly contested categories of the evening. However it was Chalet Grande Corniche in Les Gets which beat off the competition to win the title of Best Ski Chalet in France. Receiving the award was Ceri Tinley, Managing Director of Consensio Chalets, “We are delighted to have won this category for the 3rd year in a row, this time with the amazing Chalet Grande Corniche”.
This category is decided by voting with the criteria being both excellence of the property and the service provided. Chalet Grande Corniche meets both these criteria, located just a short drive from Geneva it is perfect for families or corporate groups alike. Sleeping 12-15 guests this chalet boasts an oudoor jacuzzi, glass sauna, gym, grand piano, and full size snooker table in its beautiful wine cellar accessible by its’ own slide from the upstairs bar area. Truly stunning, this chalet is very popular and will no doubt be sold out having won this prestigious award!
Consensio also had two chalets shortlisted for the Best New Ski Chalet in the World. Chalets Jejalp in Morzine and Mont Tremblant in Meribel both were nominated in this category. Narrowly beaten by a chalet in Verbier they both were worthy runners up.
Finally Consensio Chalets ourselves were a runner up in the category Best Ski Tour Operator in the World which is an amazing achievement for such a small operator with only 12 chalets in its’ program.
