Last weekend the spectacular Chalet Mont Tremblant was voted the Best Luxury Ski Chalet in France at the World Ski Awards in Kitzbühel. For the fourth consecutive year Consensio has dominated this category winning with three different chalets. Earlier this week we interviewed the Mont Tremblant chalet manager to get an insight into why he thinks this chalet won this prestigious award.
David Austin-Adams is the Manager of Chalet Mont Tremblant in Méribel.
How did you feel when you heard the news that Chalet Mont Tremblant had won the ‘Best Ski Chalet in France’ category at the World Ski Awards last weekend? Both I and the chalet team felt very proud and honoured to have won the award for the chalet.
How long have you been Chalet Manager of Mont Tremblant? This is my second year as manager of Mont Tremblant, I previously ran a different chalet in Méribel for Consensio for five years.
Why do you think the chalet won the award? The way the chalet has been designed means it has a very light and open airy feel. It has been designed for families yet is also very fun chalet, it caters to both types of guests. It is homely and not at all garish so appeals to a wider audience than some of the more bling chalets.
What else makes Mont Tremblant special? I think that it is the cinema/games room and outdoor infinity swimming pool which set it apart. Also, the kitchen is huge and enables the chef to produce amazing food throughout the week for our guests.
Can you give our readers a little insight into what it is like to stay at Mont Tremblant, what can guests expect? Guests can expect a warm welcome and to never lift a finger throughout the week, every need anticipated. Exceptional food that you choose, is like going to a restaurant and eating off menu. We have a complete entertainment package will enable every age to have fun. We are an experienced returning team have exceptional local knowledge so will guide you to the best restaurants and activities in resort. Mont Tremblant is perfectly positioned in the centre of the resort but is secluded with its own garden and big terraces.
Why was the chalet named Mont Tremblant? The owners of Mont Tremblant lived in Canada for a while and spent their time skiing in the Mont Tremblant ski resort, there is a photo of that mountain in the hall of the chalet.
Where in the chalet will you put the award? The award will sit with pride of place in the entrance hall of the chalet.
To celebrate this fabulous achievement we are offering our a unique opportunity to experience the ultimate in luxury ski; reducing all remaining weeks this season in Chalet Mont Tremblant by 10% for bookings made before the 31st December 2016.
