M² living space
Set in a quiet, elevated position in Val d’Isère, Chalet des Légendes offers a design-led approach to alpine living, just a short distance from the centre of the resort. Slightly removed from the main flow of the village, it balances privacy with easy access to the slopes and the wider ski area.
Inside, the chalet feels contemporary yet warm, where natural materials are paired with more expressive design details. Sculpted lighting, clean architectural lines and subtle references to Val d’Isère’s heritage bring a quiet sense of character without ever feeling overdone. The double-height living space centres around the fire, with views opening out across the mountains.
The layout is designed for both energy and ease. Open-plan living and dining flow into a fully stocked bar, where afternoons move easily into the evening. In the dedicated après-ski bar area, artwork on the walls pays a subtle nod to the figures who shaped Val d’Isère, adding a sense of place and story to the space.
Five ensuite bedrooms accommodate up to 8 adults and 4 children, including a master suite and a children’s bunk room with four beds. Each is calm and considered, with soft textures and spa-style bathrooms.
On the lower level, the focus shifts to wellness. A spacious indoor pool, hot tub and hammam create a more immersive spa environment, complemented by a private treatment room and a lounge designed for slower moments.
A ski room with heated boot dryers and thoughtful storage ensures each day begins seamlessly, while the chalet’s position offers a balance of privacy and proximity to Val d’Isère’s vibrant centre.
Chalet des Légendes is defined by its sense of design and atmosphere, a space that feels both distinctive and easy to live in.

Getting around
Local guide
Val d’Isère is one of the most respected ski destinations in the Alps, known for its exceptional terrain, high-altitude reliability and enduring appeal among serious skiers. Combined with neighbouring Tignes, it forms the Tignes–Val d’Isère ski area, offering a vast and varied domain often considered among the finest in Europe. Here, scale and performance are matched by a more understated, authentic alpine atmosphere
Beyond the slopes, Val d’Isère offers a well-balanced mountain lifestyle. The resort blends traditional Savoyard character with a considered selection of restaurants, bars and boutiques. From long lunches on sunny terraces to a lively après-ski scene, the rhythm of the day moves easily from skiing into evening. For non-skiers, a range of experiences including spa facilities, winter walking, husky sledding and ice diving on Lac de Tignes offer an alternative way to explore the mountains.
Best for
Confident intermediates through to advanced skiers. Off-piste enthusiasts and those seeking challenging terrain. Well-suited to families, groups and returning skiers looking for both performance and atmosphere.
Skiing in Val d’Isère
With over 300km of pistes across the Tignes–Val d’Isère area, the resort offers extensive and varied terrain. Locally, skiers will find a strong mix of long cruising runs, high-altitude bowls and more technical descents, all supported by an efficient lift system. The area is particularly known for its off-piste opportunities, with accessible routes for those looking to explore beyond the marked pistes.
Snow & seasonality
Val d’Isère’s high altitude, reaching up to 3,456m on the Grande Motte glacier, ensures one of the most reliable snow records in the Alps. The season typically runs from late November through to early May, with peak conditions in January and February. Spring skiing is equally rewarding, offering longer days, softer snow and quieter slopes.
