Tucked away in Val d’Isère’s quieter Joseray area, Ceres offers a more residential alpine base, where days on the mountain are balanced by a slower pace back home. With access to both the Bellevarde and Solaise ski areas close by, it is well positioned for those who want ease on the slopes while staying slightly removed from the centre of the village.
Set across two floors, the property is arranged with a clear separation between living and rest. Upstairs, the main space is open and sociable, bringing together kitchen, dining and lounge in one continuous setting. It is designed for informal evenings, cooking, sharing and settling in after a day outside, with a layout that feels practical and easy.
Downstairs, four bedrooms create a quieter sleeping level. Two double or twin rooms include ensuite bathrooms, while a third has access to a separate bathroom. A dedicated bunk room is designed for children, making the property particularly well suited to families. The layout works comfortably for mixed groups, with enough separation to maintain a sense of privacy.
Part of The Joseray Collection, Ceres can be booked individually or alongside neighbouring properties, accommodating up to 30 guests in total and offering a flexible option for both smaller groups and larger gatherings.
Compact, well-laid out, and thoughtfully designed, Ceres is less about scale and more about ease, offering a straightforward and comfortable base for time in the mountains.

Getting around
Local guide
Val d’Isère is one of the most respected ski destinations in the Alps, known for its exceptional terrain, high-altitude reliability and enduring appeal among serious skiers. Combined with neighbouring Tignes, it forms the Tignes–Val d’Isère ski area, offering a vast and varied domain often considered among the finest in Europe. Here, scale and performance are matched by a more understated, authentic alpine atmosphere.
Beyond the slopes, Val d’Isère offers a well-balanced mountain lifestyle. The resort blends traditional Savoyard character with a considered selection of restaurants, bars and boutiques. From long lunches on sunny terraces to a lively après-ski scene, the rhythm of the day moves easily from skiing into evening. For non-skiers, a range of experiences including spa facilities, winter walking, husky sledding and ice diving on Lac de Tignes offer an alternative way to explore the mountains.
Best for
Confident intermediates through to advanced skiers. Off-piste enthusiasts and those seeking challenging terrain. Well-suited to families, groups and returning skiers looking for both performance and atmosphere.
Skiing in Val d’Isère
With over 300km of pistes across the Tignes–Val d’Isère area, the resort offers extensive and varied terrain. Locally, skiers will find a strong mix of long cruising runs, high-altitude bowls and more technical descents, all supported by an efficient lift system. The area is particularly known for its off-piste opportunities, with accessible routes for those looking to explore beyond the marked pistes.
Snow & seasonality
Val d’Isère’s high altitude, reaching up to 3,456m on the Grande Motte glacier, ensures one of the most reliable snow records in the Alps. The season typically runs from late November through to early May, with peak conditions in January and February. Spring skiing is equally rewarding, offering longer days, softer snow and quieter slopes.
