About Consensio Chalets
Consensio is a luxury travel operator (not an agent) and a UK-registered company with an Operations office in France. We manage our portfolios directly on behalf of their respective owners. Our main goal is to provide Exceptional Service in Exceptional Properties across the French Alps. Stuart Pinnell and Ceri Tinley co-founded and launched Consensio in 2009 in partnership with six chalet owners looking for an operator to manage their chalets with them rather than for them. Consensio means “co-operative” and that is how we work, using our unique profit-sharing method.

Meet the Team
Ceri launched Consensio 17 years ago, having worked in the luxury chalet industry in the Alps since 2000.
Outside work, Ceri enjoys skiing with her family, competing in dog agility and sea swimming.
Top tip: For one of the best ski runs in Les Trois Vallées, take Jerusalem from Méribel down to St Martin de Belleville.
Julia was born in Vilnius, where she studied Economics before beginning her career in banking. Her heart, however, had always been set on working in travel. In 2011, she joined Consensio and has never looked back.
Since then, Julia has fallen in love with powder skiing, mountain views and the pace of life that comes with the ski industry. As a mother of two, she also understands the detail that goes into travelling with children, making her especially well placed to support families planning their stay.
Top tip: Always ask questions. The better informed the team is, the better they can tailor your holiday.
Claire’s love affair with the mountains began in 2005, when a career break led her to her first ski season in the Alps. She returned the following winter and never really looked back. Since then, she has built a career in the ski industry, finding the perfect balance between life in the UK and regular escapes to the mountains she loves.
As Senior Sales Manager at Consensio, Claire is surrounded by guests who are either looking forward to their next trip or sharing the highlights from their time in the Alps. It is a role she genuinely loves.
Based in Scotland, Claire is happiest outdoors, whether wild swimming, walking with her dog Maggie or embracing a new adventure.
Top tip: In Val d’Isère, skip the queue for the Olympic cable car at the start of the day. Instead, take the Bellevarde and Loyes chair lifts. It adds just a few extra minutes, with a fun short ski between the two lifts and a more peaceful start to the day.
As Marketing & Communications Manager, Clarissa looks after Consensio’s brand, communications and marketing. With experience across hospitality, luxury travel and events, she enjoys shaping stories that bring the Consensio experience to life and connect guests with the places, properties and people behind each stay.
Now based between the UK and France, Clarissa loves spending time by the beach, keeping fit, travelling, exploring new places and eating her way through local restaurants.
Top tip: Make time to enjoy the mountains beyond skiing. From long lunches and spa afternoons to village walks and hidden local restaurants, some of the best moments happen off the slopes.
Mischa has been with Consensio since the company launched in September 2009. With experience across chalet and villa companies since 1998, she saw joining Consensio as the perfect opportunity to help build something special while taking on a new challenge.
Outside work, Mischa enjoys skiing in winter and sailing in summer. She also spends plenty of time walking her dog in the mountains.
Top tip: One of her favourite hidden spots is Champagny-le-Haut, where she often spends a Sunday afternoon with friends in winter. For mountain restaurants, she recommends Chalet Tonia in Méribel and Chez Pépé Nicolas in Les Menuires.
Maxine is Consensio’s Finance Director and has been with the company since its launch in 2009, overseeing all aspects of financial control. With over 25 years’ experience in chalet finance, she knows the business inside and out, keeping everything on track and within budget while never losing sight of the bigger picture.
A passionate skier and seasoned traveller, Maxine swapped the UK for the French Alps and never looked back. When she is not on the slopes, she can often be found somewhere unexpected, backpack on, off the beaten track and discovering the world one adventure at a time.
Top tip: Hit the slopes over lunch. While everyone else is inside, the pistes are much quieter.
Katie Dulieu
Financial Controller
After working in France and completing a winter season in the French Alps, Katie knew she wanted to work in the ski industry. She started at Consensio as a Logistics Assistant, spending time across the Finance, Operations and HR departments before developing a strong interest in finance. Since 2019, she has been exclusively part of the Finance team.
Outside work, Katie enjoys skiing, surfing, sport climbing and weekends away in her campervan. Most of all, she loves spending time outdoors.
Top tip: Stop for a late morning coffee and pastry, then take lunch at 2pm. The mountains are quieter while everyone else is eating, and you avoid the restaurant rush.
Sarah Eaton
HR Director
Sarah joined Consensio in 2017, following several years in London working across a variety of HR roles and, before that, multiple winter and summer seasons in France and Portugal. Her role at Consensio has allowed her to bring together her HR experience with her love of the mountains and the hospitality industry.
Although mostly based in the UK, Sarah makes frequent trips to the Alps. At home, she enjoys wild swimming and heading out to the nearby peaks with her dog.
Top tip: For a peaceful start to the winter season, take a December walk from Courchevel 1650 to the nearby lake. The route is often quiet and shows a different side of the mountains.
Violette Teissier
Operations Manager (Chalets)
Born and raised in France, Violette enjoyed the Alps from a young age. Growing up in the busy city of Lyon, she always loved escaping the pace of city life and swapping rooftops for mountain views. It was only a matter of time before she relocated to Savoie, settling in Les Trois Vallées.
She is grateful to work in an environment where people come to enjoy themselves and make the most of the beautiful surroundings.
Top tip: Check the Piste du Jour before heading out, so you can enjoy the freshly groomed black run of the day.
Heather Tranfield
Recruitment Coordinator
As Recruitment Coordinator, Heather supports team members throughout their time with Consensio. With seven years of ski industry experience, she is always happy to offer advice and support to anyone heading into their first, or tenth, ski season.
Now settled back in the UK and forever missing the mountains, she loves hearing about everyone’s experiences in resort.
Top tip: To make the most of your holiday and time on the mountain, book a private lesson at the start of your stay. There are some excellent ski schools and guides in every resort.
Nicky Dawson
Accounts Assistant
Nikki joined Consensio five years ago, bringing with her a background in management accounting from the investment sector. After taking seven years out to raise her family, returning to work with Consensio felt like the perfect next chapter, giving her the chance to bring her financial experience to a company with real personality.
Outside work, family comes first. Nikki loves spending time with her boys, whether camping, visiting theme parks or simply being outdoors together. When she is not with them, she can often be found paddleboarding, hiking or keeping fit at the gym.
Jo Kinghorn
Operations Manager (Apartments)
A lifelong lover of the outdoors, Jo swapped her career in finance for the French Alps in 2008 and has been part of the ski industry ever since. With nearly two decades of resort experience, she brings a wealth of local knowledge and a passion for creating seamless, memorable stays for every guest.
Outside work, Jo can usually be found making the most of mountain life, skiing in winter, hiking in summer and exploring new destinations whenever she gets the chance. She is also a keen traveller with a love of wildlife, good food and discovering different cultures.
Top tip: Skiing over lunchtime in peak season is a great way to enjoy quieter slopes and shorter lift queues.
After finishing university in Scotland, Lewis headed straight to Val d’Isère for his long-awaited ski season, intending to stay for just one winter. Fast forward 20 years, and he is still firmly rooted in the ski industry.
With decades of experience living and working in Val d’Isère, Lewis knows the resort inside out, from the best slopes to the sunniest spots for a long lunch.
Away from work, Lewis spends his time exploring the Scottish countryside, lochs and hills with his dog Mac.
Top tip: Start the day on the Solaise side of the resort. The sun reaches these slopes first, and the Solaise bubble has heated seats, which are always welcome on a cold morning.
Ultimate Catered Chalets
Consensio’s Ultimate Catered Chalets are recognised as the best luxury ski chalets in France. Each chalet is unique in design, fitted with the latest state-of-the-art technology and is staffed with a private team including a chef, chalet manager, hosts, in-resort chauffeur and, in Chalet Marco Polo, a spa manager.
Relaxed Catered Chalets
This collection offers a more relaxed, family-focused range of chalets at affordable prices. With sustainability at the forefront of this collection, these catered chalets will benefit from the world-class personal concierge service afforded to all Consensio guests, plus an in-house chalet team including two dedicated hosts/cooks, a shared driver for an in-resort chalet to piste shuttle service and housekeeper. These catered chalet holidays are perfect for families with young children or groups looking for a laid back mountain escape.
Serviced Alpine Properties
Consensio’s serviced apartments are aimed at addressing the needs of discerning clientele who are travelling in smaller parties or seeking a more understated level of service.
