Supporting Inclusion on the Slopes: Consensio and DSUK’s 2025 Summer Sessions
At Consensio, we believe the joy of the mountains should be shared by everyone. That’s why we’re proud to continue our partnership with Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK), a charity dedicated to making snow sports accessible to people of all abilities.

This summer, DSUK once again hosted its Summer Sessions, a series of inclusive activity days designed to bring children with disabilities — and their siblings — together for a week of connection, confidence-building, and adventure. The 2025 sessions saw over 50 children take part in seven days of activities, including indoor skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, climbing, games, and crafts. For many of them, this was their first opportunity to experience the freedom of snowsports in a supportive environment designed entirely around their needs.

A Week of Smiles, Confidence, and New Experiences
Each day of the Summer Sessions was filled with energy, encouragement, and care. Every child — whether living with a physical disability, neurodivergent condition, or complex medical need — was given the chance to participate fully. The DSUK team worked closely with adaptive instructors and volunteers to ensure every activity was accessible and safe, while still challenging and exciting.

Feedback from families was overwhelmingly positive, with parents sharing stories of how their children grew in confidence, discovered new passions, and made friends through shared experiences. One parent described how their child’s favourite moment was receiving the teddy bear gift from Consensio, a small gesture that became a treasured reminder of the week.
Why Inclusion in Snowsports Matters
Snowsports are more than just physical activity — they foster independence, resilience, and joy. For children with disabilities, opportunities like the DSUK Summer Sessions can be truly life-changing. They provide a sense of belonging and the chance to experience the same thrill and freedom that so many families associate with skiing and snowboarding holidays.
Consensio is proud to stand alongside DSUK in supporting this mission. Our ongoing sponsorship helps fund adaptive equipment, accessible venues, and trained instructors who make these sessions possible. Through partnerships like this, we aim to contribute to a more inclusive future for mountain experiences — where every skier, regardless of ability, can feel the same excitement as they glide down the slopes.
Looking Ahead
As DSUK continues to expand its reach, programmes like the Summer Sessions demonstrate how powerful inclusive experiences can be. The success of this year’s initiative has inspired plans for future events, reaching even more children and families across the UK.
We’re honoured to play a small part in their journey and to witness the lasting impact of their work. At Consensio, we remain committed to supporting organisations that share our belief in creating experiences defined not only by luxury, but also by compassion, connection, and community.
