Exciting Winter Launch 2023: What’s New in Les 3 Vallées!
As the snowflakes start to blanket the breathtaking landscapes of Les 3 Vallées, anticipation is building for the Winter Launch of 2023. Whether you’re an avid skier, a snow enthusiast, or just seeking a winter wonderland adventure, this season promises to be extraordinary. From upgraded lifts and exciting new activities to fresh dining experiences and major events, Les 3 Vallées is ready to welcome you with open arms.
Lifts and Resort Investments
The heart of any ski resort lies in its lift system, and Les 3 Vallées is making significant strides this season. The lift system is set to open from the beginning of December, ensuring you get the most out of your winter vacation. But that’s not all – two new gondola lifts connecting Orelle and Val Thorens are now in service, making it easier than ever to explore the vast terrain. Additionally, the Roc 1 gondola has received a substantial upgrade with new seats and plexiglass, not to mention 300m² of photovoltaic panels on the roof of the Roc 2 garage, which powers the lift sustainably.
Digital Signage for Real-time Information
Stay informed with the latest updates, thanks to the investment in digital signage. A massive 6m² LED screen at La Croisette provides real-time information on weather conditions, ski lift timetables, and upcoming events.
La Pointe de la Masse Lift
For those seeking a thrilling ride and breathtaking views, the La Pointe de la Masse lift is a must-try. It’s your ticket to reaching the La Masse summit at 2,804 metres, a paradise for skiers in winter and hikers in summer. Plus, there’s a lovely 780m² terrace with panoramic views to enjoy.
New Pointe de la Masse Museum
Curious about how these incredible lifts are built and operated? The new Pointe de la Masse Museum has you covered. It’s a fun and fascinating experience for both adults and kids, featuring a large LEGO® model of the lift that illustrates the complex engineering behind it. And the best part? Entry is free!
A World of Activities
Les 3 Vallées offers a wide array of activities to keep you entertained throughout your stay. Don’t forget to visit the Le Board sports centre, which opened last season, offering everything from concerts and sporting events to exhibitions and conferences. It’s a hub of entertainment right in the heart of Val Thorens.
Off-Piste Adventure
For those looking to explore beyond the beaten path, ESF offers new off-piste courses in Orelle and Les 3 Vallées. Safety equipment is provided, so you can embark on this adventure with confidence.
Après-Ski Delights
After a day on the slopes, treat yourself to a unique experience with the new Aperitif & Fondue Evening. You’ll enjoy an aperitif and fondue at 2,350 metres, inside an igloo!
Mountain Yoga and Nature Reserves
Find tranquillity amid the mountains with Mountain Yoga at the Col de la Loze, the 7th highest mountain pass in France. Run by experienced guides from Manalaya, this is a perfect way to connect with nature and yourself.
Explore the Tueda Nature Reserve, which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. The new Maison de la Réserve showcases the local fauna and flora, providing an engaging educational experience for visitors.
Free Delights in the Resort
There are plenty of free activities to enjoy in the resort, from ice sculpture workshops to free concerts every Wednesday night. Plus, don’t miss the chance to savour free mulled wine or hot chocolate at the Parc Thermal on Sundays.
Delicious Dining and Craft Brews
In the realm of food and drink, Les 3 Vallées has some exciting additions. Brava Vela, a new microbrewery, opens its doors this season, offering a taste of the local flavours with various beers brewed from 97% local ingredients. And if you’re in the mood for some cosmopolitan cuisine, be sure to visit Jacks, a British-owned restaurant and bar overlooking the slopes.
Major Events: Les Menuires Turns 60!
Last but not least, Les Menuires is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. With its unique avant-garde modernist architecture, this charming resort offers easy runs, family-friendly amenities, and the beautiful Lac du Lou nearby.
