As the snow melts and the resorts quieten down, we begin preparing for what comes next. The off-season is a time of focus for us. It’s when we refine every detail to ensure the season ahead delivers the seamless, personal service our guests return for year after year. From detailed property reviews to team recruitment, preparations are well underway to ensure our chalets meet the highest standards. This summer, we’re also excited to be expanding our portfolio, welcoming two new properties: Chalet des Légendes in Val d’Isère and Champlain, a beautifully designed serviced apartment in Méribel. These additions allow us to offer even more variety to our guests — whether they’re seeking a fully catered stay or a more flexible, self-catered experience.
In the words of our Co-Founder and Managing Director,
Our priorities remain centred on delivering exceptional guest experiences. This includes reviewing feedback from last season, working with our owners to complete any necessary updates, and recruiting the very best teams to work in our chalets.
A Look Behind the Scenes
While our guests enjoy summer holidays elsewhere, our operations team is immersed in planning and fine-tuning. Every element of the guest experience — from chauffeur schedules to linen suppliers — is reviewed. Maintenance teams are deep-cleaning, repainting, and upgrading where needed. Chalet technology, spa systems, soft furnishings, and consumables are all reassessed to ensure they’re up to Consensio standards.
We also focus on strengthening relationships with trusted suppliers and building new partnerships that align with our values of quality, wellness, and sustainability. This year, we’re excited to introduce products from Swiss Mountain Rescue, a wellness brand whose range will now feature in all guest bathrooms. Our wine list is also being refined in partnership with Verre Gourmand, and we’re expanding our non-alcoholic drinks offering in response to guest preferences.
We’re always looking to innovate based on feedback,” our Managing Director explains. Whether that’s offering more plant-based menu options, refining service standards, or introducing wellness-focused amenities.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
Sustainability continues to be a guiding principle behind our operations. For the 2025/26 season, we are taking further steps to reduce our environmental impact — including optimising transport logistics, increasing plant-based menu options, and sourcing more ingredients and materials locally.
Sustainability remains a key focus for us. It’s about reducing our carbon footprint and supporting the communities we operate in — while continuing to offer the highest standard of service,” our Managing Director shared.
Investing in Our People
The guest experience is shaped by the incredible teams in our chalets. That’s why recruitment and training are a central part of our summer work. We begin early, ensuring that our in-resort teams — from chefs to chauffeurs — are among the very best in the Alps.
This November, we’ll deliver a full pre-season training programme covering everything from wine tasting and health & safety to leadership development for returning team members. It’s all part of our commitment to delivering not just beautiful chalets, but impeccable service at every touchpoint.
Looking Ahead to Winter 2025/26
With Christmas and New Year weeks already fully booked across our catered chalets, demand is high. Half-term and other peak periods are quickly filling too. If you’re considering a return to the Alps, we recommend getting in touch early to secure your preferred chalet and dates.

There’s something uniquely exciting about planning for a new season. Each year is a new opportunity to delight our guests — whether they’re returning to a favourite chalet or discovering Consensio for the first time. – Ceri, Co-Founder/MD
