M² living space
Set in a discreet position just moments from the centre of Val d’Isère, Chalet Marco Polo is an award-winning private residence, combining scale, design and immersive experience across more than 1,000 m² of living space. It offers both privacy and immediate access to the slopes, supported by a private in-resort chauffeur service.
Inside, the chalet unfolds as a series of bold, atmospheric spaces, where rich timber, intricate detailing and statement lighting create a distinctive sense of place. The main living area is centred around a striking fireplace, with an open-plan lounge and dining space that opens onto a generous terrace overlooking the iconic La Face piste. Heated outdoor seating invites long afternoons spent outside, even in the depths of winter.
The chalet is designed for entertaining. A private après-ski bar sets the tone, while multiple lounge spaces allow the atmosphere to shift from relaxed to lively as the evening unfolds. Below, a wine cellar and fromagerie offer a more intimate setting for tastings, adding another layer to the experience.
Six ensuite bedrooms accommodate up to 10 adults and 4 children, each individually designed with a strong sense of character, combining alpine warmth with a more expressive, decorative style.
Wellness and leisure are central to the chalet. The indoor pool, designed by Christian Lacroix and finished in gold leaf, forms a striking focal point, complemented by a hammam, outdoor hot tub and three treatment rooms. A fully equipped gym, games room with pool table and darts, and an interactive racing simulator ensure there is just as much to experience within the chalet as there is on the mountain.
Practical details are seamlessly integrated, including a lift, heated ski room with boot warmers and a private garage with EV charging.
Chalet Marco Polo is defined by its sense of scale and atmosphere, a chalet designed not only for staying, but for experiencing.

Getting around
Local guide
Val d’Isère is one of the most respected ski destinations in the Alps, known for its exceptional terrain, high-altitude reliability and enduring appeal among serious skiers. Combined with neighbouring Tignes, it forms the Tignes–Val d’Isère ski area, offering a vast and varied domain often considered among the finest in Europe. Here, scale and performance are matched by a more understated, authentic alpine atmosphere.
Beyond the slopes, Val d’Isère offers a well-balanced mountain lifestyle. The resort blends traditional Savoyard character with a considered selection of restaurants, bars and boutiques. From long lunches on sunny terraces to a lively après-ski scene, the rhythm of the day moves easily from skiing into evening. For non-skiers, a range of experiences including spa facilities, winter walking, husky sledding and ice diving on Lac de Tignes offer an alternative way to explore the mountains.
Best for
Confident intermediates through to advanced skiers. Off-piste enthusiasts and those seeking challenging terrain. Well-suited to families, groups and returning skiers looking for both performance and atmosphere.
Skiing in Val d’Isère
With over 300km of pistes across the Tignes–Val d’Isère area, the resort offers extensive and varied terrain. Locally, skiers will find a strong mix of long cruising runs, high-altitude bowls and more technical descents, all supported by an efficient lift system. The area is particularly known for its off-piste opportunities, with accessible routes for those looking to explore beyond the marked pistes.
Snow & seasonality
Val d’Isère’s high altitude, reaching up to 3,456m on the Grande Motte glacier, ensures one of the most reliable snow records in the Alps. The season typically runs from late November through to early May, with peak conditions in January and February. Spring skiing is equally rewarding, offering longer days, softer snow and quieter slopes.
